BIBLE BOWL  Individual event. Quizes in 3 rounds of 35 multiple choice questions.  Grades 3-6 only take rounds 1-2.  Questions are similar to the study guide.  Questions are read aloud and anwers shown with a cube to a scorer.

 

BIBLE QUIZ  Team event for 5.  Each round is an open Bible, team test of 50 questions divided into 5, 10-question sections.  Each section uses a different testing method such as T/F, matching, fill in the blank, etc.  There are 5 rounds, 12 minutes per round for a total 250 questions.  A study guide is provided to help prepare.

 

BIBLE READING  Read a passage of scripture with an introduction that does not exceed 20 seconds.  The introduction and reading must be between one and two minutes.

 

CHORUS  Small is 2-9 singers, Large is 10 or more.  Overall presentation should point toward the theme.  Time limit is 8 minutes from entry to exit.

 

LIVE DRAMA  Create and perform a drama (skit) with props and costumes.  Script must interpret a Bible story or application of the the theme.  Minimum time is 5 minutes.  Time limit is 8 minutes from entry to exit.

 

PUPPETS  Create and perform a puppet show that lasts a minium of 4 minutes.  Time limit is 10 minutes from entry to exit.  

 

SERMON DELIVERY  Boys grades 7-12.  Write and deliver a 9-12 minute sermon related to theme.  A podium is provided and notes are allowed.

 

SONG LEADING  Boys and girls divisions. Lead one of the songs on the list for the year, using a pitching device to begin on pitch.

 

SPEECH  Write and deliver a speech related to the theme (grades 3-6 may speak about a Bible character).  Time limits are 3-6 minutes. Notes are allowed.

 

SIGNING FOR DEAF  Finger spell your name and the titles of your selections.  Sign/Interpret songs and scriptures from the list for the year.
